Sound the trumpets, we have achieved archive! That's right fellas, I figured it all out for myself, and now I am the proud owner of a glorious 2-comic archive!!! Check out the link, it's on your right! It's not much, but it's a start, and it will be getting much bigger now. Comics are getting easier to do, and I am starting to wrap my head around all this html stuff. It's really simple now that I think about it, but without the book that I got for Christmas (HTML For Complete Dumbasses) I wouldn't have had a chance.
If you want to laugh your ass off, check out the featured cartoons here. My favorite are the Harry Potter's Puppet Pals. Too funny. Expect weekly comics now, promise!

Hello everybody, and Happy Christmas! I hope that your holidays were as enjoyable as mine were, if not moreso. Of course, a large symptom of the season is the many gifts that come along with them, and I got them by the boatload this year. Like last year (have I really had this site for that long?) I will post pictures of all the great things that I got. Just not tonite, as I'm busy reading my new book. It's a book to teach myself HTML, and it seems to have everything I need to create a site of my own, without the helping hand of Blogger.com. After this post is up, I am heading straight over to Geocities to see about getting my own page. It's not my first choice for hosting services, if I can, I will see if Shaw will provide free hosting for subscribing with them.
So much cool stuff hapened this week. I got a job working at the airport (squeal!) watching a FedEx plane, and I'll likely be doing that into the new year. Luckily, it's a day-shift, so I won't get stuck at work when the ball drops.
Nothing much cool happened on the internet this week, so I went out to see what was new in print format. GQ released a pretty thin issue(read: less ads), and it had the ever-sexy Orlando Bloom gracing the cover, so I went and picked it up. As usual, it has the impossibly expensive fashions ($1,500 for a tank-top?!), an interview wth a complete non-celebrity that has no business being in a fashion magazine (this month, a 96 year old bank robber), amd sex tips (because sex is a relatively new thing, with progress in the field being constant). It's not the worst money I've ever spent. GQ uses nice fonts which are great for cutting up and using in birthday cards.
Is anybody else pissed off that Homestar hasn't updated with a Christmas special yet? I mean, it's already Boxing Day, for crying out loud!

So, a new comic! I would dare say that it's more introductoriffic than the last one! The new guy is my good friend Ryan. We'll learn more about his fictional exploits as the comic continues. Remember man, we're good friends, so please don't sue!

Check it out! I got me a new phone! It's so awesome, it hurts. As for my old phone, Fat Mike has offered to lend me his aluminum bat for the occassion. Wicked.
Hold on tight, cuz I'm about to drop the science here. Remember that old second law of thermodynamics that everybody thought was the bomb? Well, it would seem now that it is bunk. For the most part, at least. Just for the record, I merely drop the science, I don't understand it. i leave things like that to my friend Phil, who will be all over this story like white on rice.
You like the movies? I love them. I like the trailers better though. You should check out Apple's trailer site. They got more trailers than you can shake a stick at. Check them out regularily, as they update every week.

Ugh, for Christmas time, I am not having the most festive of weeks. The semester is over, no more tests or anything, but I am still in a load of crap. Turns out one bum assignment in my COMS course could cause me to fail the course. Not cool. I am in the middle of getting the mark appealed, so we'll see how that turns out.
Also, I got a message on my phone from somebody in a credit agency. I don't know what it's about, but I'm pretty sure that my credit isn't so bad that it would ellicit attention from the company. Unless of course they jacked up their rates to like, 50%.
I only hope that Sony is smart enough to make sure that the robots stay slower than humans. The day that they can catch us is likely the day that they will rise up against us.
Please tell me that you've seen the Spiderman trailer. I really must protest against Ray Liotta's decision to make Doc Oc a yankee. It takes away from so many oppurtunities to speak in that cool "crazy German scientist" accent.
Actually, I think that I protest against Ray Liotta in general. I just don't care for the guy.

Well, the holidays are in near-full swing, now that exams are almost done. It should be awesome. I going to try and work off my sizeable credit-card debt by taking a few extra shifts. Freaking Christmas. I have no idea what to get some of my friends. Take my friend Fat Mike for example. It would be easy to get him something awesome that I know he'd love, except that I am not made of money. Relatively speaking, this hasn't been the most expensive Christmas ever. Yet.
You may notice that these posts are getting smaller each time. It's not because I'm abandoning this project, no no, it's because I'd like for it to be more readable to the chance visitor. Who would want to read a comic and then spend another 15 minutes reading the post? Unless of course we are talking about Penny Arcade, the only exception to the rule.

How's this for stupid? EB Mike scores the gang tix to see Snoop Dogg at the Saddledome, and me and him have to leave before he takes the stage because of work. Of course, when I show up to work, there's NOBODY THERE. I could have stayed for the show, and been there in plenty of time for the nothing to happen. Ugh, and the opening acts were such crap too. What a letdown.
I'd tell you about the rest of my week, but nothing else really hapend. I've been playing Culdacept with my friends Phil, Fat Mike and Shuu. It's a lot of fun, which is strange because it holds a lot in common with Magic: The Gathering, a game which I loathe. It is similar to M:TG because of it's use of cards and magic and monsters. It's also a lot like Monopoly, because I always lose. It's also like Monoploy because it's played on a board with properties and tolls and dice and such. Lots of fun, really.
Ninjutsu News: With any luck, Sensei will be moving operations to the new dojo this month, and also he has started testing for new ranks, to be given out in February. I am hoping that I am testing for my 6th kyu (green belt), as my white belt is starting to lose it's colour.

Check it out! I got's me some great new fonts from Blambot, I got some cool now shading techniques that make it all not look like ass, and I got a drawing style that doesn't make small animals cower in fear. There is still one large factor missing though, as you can tell... I'm working on it, I swear!

Man, I've been drawing all night, and I feel that I'm coming up with some of my best stuff yet. Really, I am quite excited to share these comics with you guys. The art style has been updated, and I have a few colouring ideas that should keep it from looking like a children's crayon book. I'll be doing colouring this week, if I'm not working, so hopefully I can have a preview up by next weekend.
Here's that article on my favorite dictator, Kim Jong-Il. Doesn't he look like Mr. GQ in that picture. Damn, he sure looks a lot cooler than in most of his public appearances, where he applies more of a mad scientist look.
I heard that they're dubbing this movie with rap-stars voices and shipping it to America, by MTV no less. It looks pretty cool, but I can't find a trailer anywhere. Can I get a little help here? All the reviews I've seen say that it's devoid of any story or plot, but that's how I like my kung-fu, so I can't wait. Also, this would be the first South-Korean movie that would make it's way into pop-culture over here, and I think that's a pretty awesome achievement.
I'm kind of in a rush here, so no Webcomic Corner today. As it turns out, there was a few loose ends left in one of my courses that is now demanding my immediate time.

All hail the end of the semester! Yes sir, now that I have no homework for another month or so, I can finally get back to all that slacking off that I meant to do. Well, not really. I'm going to call work, and try to pick up as many shifts as possible during the break. We all know how expensive Chirstmas can get, so a few extra shifts will do the wallet good.
Speaking of Christmas shopping, I haven't got a single thing done! I'll be making a list tonight, and seeing how things go from there. I'm in a lot of pools this year, to get really cool things for my friends. But of course, that's all that I can say here.
I had this really cool picture of Kim Jong-Il that I wanted to share with you guys, but I can't find it now. I'll have it posted tomorrow. Beyond that, I really don't have anything cool to post, so we'll just skip to the Webcomic Corner for now.
Webcomic Corner
There are more than enough movie-related webcomics out there. For the most part, they all suck. Some of them are pretty asanine, and some of them wish they were Penny Arcade so badly that they're likely to sprain something. But Theater Hoppers is pretty good, despite their Americanized spelling. Pretty good for movie-related humour and reviews.
So, as I've been saying, Mantis Style is working hard to bring you some funny comics, and competent site layout. I've got some ideas that I've been working on, and I think that you'll like them. One is a comic that features communist leaders of the past and today as super-villains, and the other is taking crappy Rex Morgan strips, and redoing the dialougue in hilarious fashions. Stay tuned for samples and such!
