Ack, I'm so torn right now. I'm not sure if I should save up for the iBook or the Powerbook. Both are really great systems, the Powerbook being the more powerful (duh!), the iBook being cheaper. Both have their pros and cons, and I can't make up my mind. It doesn't matter right now, as I won't have enough money for either for some time now.

The new modest Mouse album, Good News For People Who Love Bad News. What it is is good news for people who like great music. Some really great stuff in there, that's for sure.

Hey, what's up? Things are goin' pretty well for me, I'm getting ready to start working full-time, just as soon as I take my last exam on Tuesday. Then it's an all-out drive to get the $2000 buxx needed for my G4. Work will likely be filled with me killing time in my normal ways (Pac-Man) and a new way that I've discovered: songwriting. It's not that hard really. I think that the first song that I wrote, "Bustin' Makes Me Feel Good", seems to me like it could be really catchy. Right now I'm working on a theme-song for our band, and also a ballad about pirates and ninjas. They will likely be fighting, like pirates and ninjas are oft to do. The only problem is that there isn't much that rhymes with either of those things. I'm sure that I'll work my way around it.
Right now there is some kind of wind that is blowing this damn building apart. Pieces are flying off, others are hanging on and just banging into the walls, creating a very annoying place to work. Also, my hair is getting really messed up whenever I walk outside.

Random Song Fight stuff. This is a great site, one that I would suggest everybody check out. Every week, people gather to vote on the name of next week's song. Once the song's name has been decided, internet artists climb out of the woodwork, and post their version of what that song should be. Nominations are made, and the winner is then votd upon. It sounds like a project that Superbrother could be all up ons, once we get our act together.

I now know what the purpose of this summer is. It is to buy fabulous things. It makes my heart flutter to think of what I could accomplish with this system. Not only does it come with iLife and all other sorts of cool things, but it would not be bogged down by the jillion tax wizarding programs and other such nonsense that bogs down my computer. Portability is also a pretty keen feature. I will work my ass off this summer if it allows me such splendour. I can only assume that GarageBand would help to make up for any talent-based shortcomings that might arise in our new Superbrother project (the song is written, we must jam!).
Besides, it would match my iPod. Speaking of which...

Aerosmith? Manu Chao? En Vogue? How in hell did this crap get here? The one problem of being in charge of so many songs is that so many bad ones can slip through the cracks. Time to get my delete on.

Man, sorry about the lack of updates this weekend, work was a total drag. I'll tell you what wasn't a drag, and that's Bermuda Shorts Day! First we went to see Kill Bill vol. 2, which I suppose I'll review on a later date, once I sort out my feelings on the whole thing. Then we went to Open Sesame, where I also got reservations for Monday. Then we hit the club. The whole thing was a very classy affair, with myself being so incredibly classy, what with my glass(es) of wine and my Cuban cigar. I even earned the title "Emilio Escobar", which I am not sure is totally fair, seeing as I am a classy guy, and he was a violent pimp. Oh well, it gives me the oppurtunity to flex my spanish accent some.
I should be going now, I have a lot of studying to do. Enjoy the new comic!

"Man, I sure hope something happens at work today, I could use a little excitement..."
Famous last words, if ever there were any. Apperantly the studio is filming a live sports show after every Flames game, complete with a live studio audience. This would be pretty awesome, if the audience wasn't shuttled to the studio straight from the nearest sports bar. As a security guard, I have to question the logic of anyone bringing in 50 or so rowdy drunks into a building that's filled to the brim with delicate and expensive things. A fight nearly broke out between me and two larger fellas, but that dissipated quickly, thanks to my quick wit. Surprisingly enough, nothing was broken or stolen, that I know of. It all makes me wonder: If hockey is so great, why does everybody need to be drunk to enjoy it? It seems to me that drinking should be reserved for those who would otherwise find the sport a mindless orgy of violence, sometimes interupted with a little black puck.
Oh yeah, and I think that we started a band. After festivities died down last night, I proposed to Ryan that we put our collective creativity together and cut an album. We had attempted this the previous summer, as a hip-hop group, but I have largely given in to the fact that I am far too priveleged for that kind of endeavour. So indie rock it is. We jammed for an hour or so, with Ryan on auchustic, and me on bongos. It was a lot of fun, which is how I assume making music should be. If you are a friend of mine, and know how to play anything, you're likely in the band as well, and just didn't know it until now. Practice starts at 6am in Ryan's garage, don't be late.

Weezer. You can't go wrong with Weezer. My stupid brother argues that thye are the origin of Emo, while I tend to argue that he is a jackass Sam Roberts loving hippie. It doesnt count as Emo music when you're singing about your girlfriend and she's a lesbian. Then it's just funny.

Concerning the new comic: piss off. They can't all be funny.

A whole lot of "The" bands. The Strokes, The Vines, The hives, The Pixies, The Sonic Youth (just kidding). Apperantly, The Pixies are getting back together after 12 years. It's about time, if you ask me. Those guys were the most influential indie rock band of the 90's and I'll put my top dollar on them doing some really awesome stuff now.
Also, I figured out a way to describe that new N.E.R.D album: Imagine The Beatles and The Monkees getting together to make music, on a computer. Yeah, that's pretty much what it's like.

Blah. Blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah. That's right, I'm blah-blah bloggin'. Really, I'm just bored out of my skull. I can't wait for summer. I've spent every waking hour working on my COMS project, which involves a lot of video editing. I like it, but it's a very draining experience. Also, I've been downloading a lot of great music.
Krispy Kremes is open! And I must say, it's been well worth the wait. Them things is all kinds of delicious!

One of the perks of working the night shift is that it is much easier to win radio call-in contests. I recently won the new N.E.R.D. album, Fly or Die, and I must say that it's a welcome follow-up to In Search of... Although The Neptunes produce a lot of crap for a lot of no-talent hacks, their solo work truly shines as original content. Don't expect to hear a lot of it on the radio though, as it's not exactly the usual pop/club stuff.
