Alright, so I have to apologize if this is really screwing somebody over, but I just scored a copy of To The 5 Boroughs. What can I say, I'm a music machine. To help alleviate any stress this might cause, why not just get me gift certificates? They're pretty awesome, and will always ensure that I get something cool.

I heard that Adam won a really big poker tournament last week. Congratulations man! This is becoming hardly news these days, but it's always cool to see a friend get rich doing what they love. Who knows? Maybe one day Adam will be able to put his skills up against the Mighty Afflon. That would be pretty rad, especially since he could then rub the man's many shortcomings in his face.

It would seem like I've been on a huge movie kick lately, after having seen 3 movies in 3 days. Let's give 'em some quick reviews.

Supersize Me: Do not see this flick on a full stomach. While we only see the dude puke once, the raw data that we're given could turn even the most cast-iron of stomachs. In short, I think that I will pack a lunch for my next shift. Maybe I'll start swimming too. My work keeps me from the dojo now, so I think it would be in my best interests to keep active.

Farenheit 9/11: While it's more obvious in this film than in previous Moore outings that this is meant to sway political favour through unfair means, the conspiracy that he is able to construct and make tangible is incredible. You owe it to yourself to see this movie for this reason alone. We as Canadians get to vote on Monday. I for one am a proud supporter of the NDP and it's policies. I don't care what you say, I think that the perfect government would be one that tells the truth, and they seem to be the most capable.

The Chronicles of Riddick: is crap.

I fully expect everybody to vote tomorrow, and do there democratic duty.

On a more birthday related note, the party is on July 3nd (Saturday). We will eat at Open Sesame, and then hit up a club or something. In the gift department, I broke down and bought 8 Million Stories, and my brother hooked me up with a copy of Yoshimi, but that doesn't mean that there isn't other things that would be cool.

You know what else would be cool? Taking something like this to the mall, or 17th ave.

Okay, I've got a lot to say now, so hold on. I've been sitting on a lot of great stuff lately, and just haven't had the time to spit it out. First off, let's do the playlist thing. I'm damn tired of being uninspired for an image to go with the songs, so I'm just gonna give you the list, and let you make one yourself. Odds are, you'll do just like I do, and scribble the titles in felt marker, because we're lazy like that. And so without further adieu (spelling?)...

Ska For Phil(Happy Birthday Dude)

1. Reel Big Fish - Kiss Me Deadly
2. The Selector - Too Much Pressure
3. Buck-O-Nine - Record Store
4. Common Rider - Carry On
5. Crowned King - My Hero
6. The Skatelites - Fidel Castro
7. Goldfinger - Here in Your Bedroom
8. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - The Rascal King
9. No Doubt - Spiderwebs
10. NOFX - Gin and Juice
11. The Heptones - Love Won't Come Easy
12. The Planet Smashers - Super Orgy Porno Party

15. Desmond Decker - King of Ska
16. Dance Hall Crashers - Lost Again
17. Common Rider - Angels at Play
18. Reel Big Fish - I Want Your Girlfriend To Be My Girlfriend Too

So Phil, there's a copy of this CD waiting for you if you're interested. Also, if anybody is interested in any of the playlists I put out, just hit me up and I'll burn you a copy. I'm nice like that.

For the love of god people, download this game called "N". It is the most fun that Flash has ever produced, Homestar aside. This is simply the greatest 2D platformer ever released on PC and Mac.

I may or may not be able to jam with Ryan and crew on Saturday, due to other social obligations, so instead I think that I may post my lyrics online, and allow others to interpret them as they see fit. Normally I am the first to mock those who put poetry on their blogs, so I will remind you: these are songs, NOT poetry. I would appreciate the distinction.

Adam, I still have that Westside Connection CD for you. In the meantime, download some great socially concious rap that ISN'T Tupac, and become acquainted with the Dead Prez. Propaganda is an awesome track to start with.

Ryan, if Firefox ain't treatin' you right, try Avant Browser. It's not the prettiest app you've ever used, but it makes up for it in functionality and efficiency. I swear, it cuts 10% of my browsing time, just through little things that make it work better.

Jon, that was THE dirtiest joke I've ever heard. Good lord. To try and compete, you should check out this audio mix of an old Lucasarts Indiana Jones point-and-click games. I was falling out of my chair when I heard this, because I can still remember actually playing this game. Of course, I was so young at the time that the innuendo flew over my head, but now I see what the developers really had in mind.

Mike, your new layout is crazy. At first I thought that my browser was buggin' out, but then I remembered that you are some kind of coding god. Great work!

Everybody everybody, come to my birthday party! It's gonna be Saturday, July 3rd, and it's gonna rock. I'm thinking we'll go out to dinner at Open Sesame, followed by some club action.

Wow, so I just woke up after Phil's party (2 days ago), and I am a little hung over. I'm not exactly sure what I was drinking, but I sure hope it looked better going down then it did coming up. Yuck.

I can only promise to try and control myself better at my birthday party. I don't know what it is about birthdays, but I love 'ems.

The playlist is coming. In between working and sleeping, I am finding very little free time on the weekdays.

Whew, I guess it's about time I updated! The wine is bottled, and ready for distribution. It is not however ready for consumption, except by the foolhardy and easily tanked. Ryan, go ahead and drink up. Heh.

I got a new playlist coming up soon, something a little more different. Watch for it. Also, the space where wine updates were held will soon be home to something much more interesting.

Happy birthday Phil, you are rad. I can't wait to see how your new site looks in the end.

Speaking of birthdays, somebaody has one coming up pretty quick, if I'm not mistaken. Now last year, the fellas (and fellinas!) got together and got me some pretty cool stuff. Such pleasantries are hardly needed this year. The gift of music is always welcome.

I gotta go, this playlist isn't gonna arrange itself.

The Soundtrack of Assholery

Alright, so I worked on this crappy image for a while, and I've finally gotten my playlist ready for your enjoyment. And I do indeed hope that you enjoy it. I tried to design it with the principles handed down to us by Rob Gordon, while at the same time passing along to you some of the coolest tracks I know of. You may have also noticed that the html for the album's site matches that of the main page. I may or may not try to emulate this with the comic's archives, bringing a little more continuity to the site. At what point will blogspot tell me that I've used up too much space? Only time will tell...

Yikes, it's been a few days. Look to your right, and you will see that our wine is nearly ready for bottling. This is some super-exciting stuff. What I will need now is about 3 dozen bottles, cleaned and sanitized for this coming week. Luckily I have the weekends off, allowing for such shenanigans (spelling?).

As it turns out, the limo package that I won on the radio is about as useful to me as an asshole on my elbow. Redeemable only by ladies on Wednesdays, my crappy Zerox'd gift certificate is estimated at $300 worth, but in reality is $0. If you know of anybody who could use it, call me and it's theirs. I really don't care. I just wish I hadn't gotten all my friends psyched over this whole thing, only to let them down. I'm never listening to the radio ever again.

I have just had the sweetest idea for thhe Superbrother Blogs. What we need to do is this: rather than trade cool artists on songs ad nauseam, we should have a playlist contest. Each blogger makes their own 15-20 song playlist, and tries to spice it up with some cool design or something.

In the meantime, check out The Planet Smashers. These guys do a great live show, believe me. Their Life of the Party album is one of the finest ska albums I own. You owe it to yourself to download the track Holiday, and to just rock out with it.
