Let's talk animation, shall we?

I found a couple of really cool flash "music videos" as it were, and I think that there will definitly be some interest from my core audience.

Come Together, by the Beatles. Very trippy.

Giant Steps by Michal Levy, with music by Coltrane. Some nifty stuff, no?

Finally, we come to the next great idea for a movie to be ruined by Keanu Reeves, A Scanner Darkly. With MTV-like animation production values, this thing looks as slick as all hell. I feel bad that it will suck pretty hard.

Those were damn fine cartoons.

A Scanner Darkly, however, has a stupid name and looks like someone forgot that The Animatrix exists and therefore are under the impression that this is an original idea or something. The animation does look pretty slick though.

A word about Keanu movies: they will suck or be awesome in spite of him. Matrix was good... until Reloaded and Re...something-else (or as I like to call them "Jesus Christ, Super Sayian). Same with Bill and Ted. And seriously, do you think that Constantine would have not sucked if they had a better male lead? Maybe it could have sucked a little less...

To be fair, A Scanner Darkly is a pretty stupid name, but it's a Philip K. Dick story, AKA what Asimov wanted to be when he grew up.

If I'm understanding correctly, the story is based on the fact that in the future, we lose the war on drugs, badly. This may actually be one of those movies that rocks in spite of the K factor.
