Ukeing my guts out

My ukulele came in the mail today. I'm going to start learning chords and songs and stuff, but some things need to be done first:

1) I need to learn how to tune the damn thing. This may require new strings, as the ones that came with are garbage.

2) I need to shrink my hands a few sizes, because damn but them frets is tiny.

Why buy a ukulele, you might ask? I'll admit that it was an impulse purchase, made after I had listened to Jack Johnson's song Breakdown about 36 times consecutively. I found a bunch of tabs for songs by Johnny Cash, Iggy Pop, Bob Marley, and other cool songs to uke out to.

Kyle, where is this place that you said sells ukuleles? Perhaps I can buy a set of quality strings from them.

That's be Long and McQuade Music, its on 52nd? ave near the train tracks. 52nd? is the street that JP Mike used to live on when he was still EB Mike, you know, next to Chinook centre. Just go to the East side of Macleod, towards the C-train tracks, you should see it on the right.

IMHO, L&MQ is the place to go for all things music. The guitarist for Huevos Rancheros either works there or used to work there, according to my old guitar teacher who knew him.

Hot damn! Ukes are definately stylish. Sure its not a "man's" guitar, but it sure says "Style" with a capital "H"...

There's a Ukelele at my downtown branch. One of the other teachers can strum pretty damn good on it. I just brush the strings in passing though. Still want me a shamisen.

Shamisen are pimp as all fuck - not as cool as the sitar IMO.

NO way, I could out-shamisen your sitar anyday! Plus, I've not heard a sitar in-game yet. Shamisen is in almost every samurai/ninja/DDR game yet.
