Well, after much speculation and eyebrow-raising, Nintendo has finally revealed the controller of the new revolution". Personally, I'm impressed. Not only does it satisfy long-time Ninendo fans' need for backwards compatibility, but it also satisfies Nintendo's need to create useless peripherals and add-ons to sell to whiny children.

I'm just surprised that they were able to achieve such accuracy having a controller being monitered in 3D space, combined with a gyroscopic sensor. This is absolutely revolutionary, and more or less just what they were promising. Way to live up to the hype guys.

That shit looks really sweet, there are so many crazy things they could do with it, not to mention the fact that the attatchment could be just about anything, i love how it turns sideways to make an NES controller. Sweet shit nintendo, you are the apple of the video game world (or is apple the nintendo of the computer world??)

Man, did anyone else have a friend growing up that would wave the controller around thinking it made Mario jump further? I've got to call him, tell him he was years before his time.

That's awesome. My dad used to play like that, back on the original NES. That brings back good memories.

I think they're making a "Dildo" add-on. And now all RPG fans can rejoice! They're 1-handed controller dreams have come true! You can eat all the fuckin' cheetos with one hand and play with the other! If you get the Cheetos-cheesey-orange system, then you've got no excuse to wipe your hands! OR, since Japan is the land of cutesy-large-eyed-anime-girl-games you can use that other hand to "play" as well!

I just want to see a samurai/ninja sword-swinging game!

The more I think about the Nintapple parallells the more its astounding, both have awesome yet comercially unsuccessfull systems, both rely on the success of extremely popular portable systems, both are innovators, both follow the "think different" approach, both pioneered their respective "areas" and were later destroyed by a competitor, microsoft is the devil to both of them etc...
I want them to update the mario paint fly swatter game!!! (a little off topic but nonetheless...)

Wait, how are Apple and Nintendo commercially unsuccessful? I was under the impression that both have been turning a profit. Especially Apple.

I said they have comercially unsuccessful systems (gamecube, basically most mac's) they both are turning a profit though, nintendo because of gameboy and apple because of ipod/itunes.
